Greyson Chance
Greyson Michael Chance (lahir 16 Agustus, 1997)[1] adalah penyanyi pop rock dan pianis Amerika yang pada April 2010 menunjukkan performanya menyanyikan lagu Paparazzi milik Lady Gaga pada festival musik kelas enam dan menjadi hits di YouTube,[3] mendapatkan lebih dari 43 juta penonton. Dua dari musik ciptaannya, “Stars” dan “Broken Hearts”, mencapai lebih dari 5 dan 7 juta penonton secara terpisah pada saluran YouTubenya.[4] Single pertamanyanya, “Waiting Outside the Lines”, diluncurkan pada Oktober 2010. Album pertama Chance, Hold on ’till the Night, diluncurkan pada 2 Agustus 2011.
Sampul video Chance “Paparazzi” diperlihatkan di Youtube, pada 26 April, 2010, dan untuk hampir dua minggu video itu masih rendah penonton. Paling tidak dua situs sosial, GossipBoy.ca dan reddit.com, menerbitkan videonya pada 10 May 2010. Ellen DeGeneres yang melihat itu pertama kali setelah kakaknya, Tanner Chance, menulis padanya untuk menyarankan agar dia menonton itu..[6] Video itu kemudian mendapatkan kira-kira 10,000 penonton ketika DeGeneres melihat itu pertama kali;[7] ketika menjelaskan alasannya untuk menamakan label record terbarunya “eleveneleven”, dia terdaftar sebagai salah satu fakta yang dia pertama sekali melihat Paparazzinya Chance pada 11 May, Yahoo! Music melaporkan: “Semenjak tulisan ini diluncurkan, video telah melebihi 36,000 penonton sejauh ini, dan dia telah diundang untuk tampil pada The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[3]
Pada 12 May, 2010 Greyson Chance tampil dan berwawancara serta menampilkan “Paparazzi” untuk Ellen di Los Angeles.[8] It was broadcast on May 13.[9][10] During the interview, Chance received a phone call from Lady Gaga,[11] who the boy says is his “true inspiration.”[12] Penampilan pertamanya pada Ellen diikuti dengan penampilan keduanya, pada 26 May 2010, yang dimana Chance menampilkan lagu orisinalnya “Broken Hearts”, dan menerima hadiah $10,000 (Rp 88,000,000) serta Piano baru Yamaha karena berhasil memenangkan kontes Ellen’s Wonderful Web of Wonderment dan diumumkan sebagai artist pertama yang akan masuk label rekord terbarunya eleveneleven.[13] Chance now has many fans on online social sites such as Facebook and Twitter.[14] Dia merupakan musisi ke-28 yang memiliki pelanggan terbanyak di YouTube, dengan 286.000 pelanggan dasar, pada 3 Januari 2010.[15]
